God Bitch Slaps The South, Film At 11

Katrina says hi

All joking aside I'm really at a loss for words for this one. The picture you're looking at was from this morning (10:00 am Cali time), and it didn't stop there. The last picture I saw the hurricane had stretched from Florida to Texas.

I talked to my friend Becca in Mississippi last night and she told me the radius of this thing is 150 miles. Where the eye is supposed to stop is 180 miles from her, so she's expecting tornados...

Expecting tornados? WTF? Maybe I'm a sheltered Cali boy, but we freak when we're expecting rain. Earlier today 145 mph winds shredded the front of a hotel...

And these hurricanes have happened there before? Fuck that, I'll stick to my earthquakes.

  • wow, scary shit. i always wonder how people are so brave in the face of tornadoes and hurricane and stuff. we worry about floods and haze and mini mini earthquakes here. tsunami was the nearest hit on my neighbors.
but it gets f*cking hot here.

  • I've been through 4 tornados in my lifetime, and I LIVED THROUGH THEM. Of course, they ARE an awful lot like the movie Twister....

  • I hope my beloved New Orleans French Quarter comes through it ok. I wuv New Orleans. Let's go there instead of Vegas! Assuming it's not underwater of course.

  • Eh. Tornados make us stronger. Plus, it makes for an interesting day....

  • Update: i finally got in contact with Becca, she's ok, except for the pecan tree that ripped her kitchen a new one. they also have ZERO power, they're using their cars as power stations for their cell phones. she had to cut her dog out of the laundry room with a saw. The whole area is pretty beat, but luckily it's one of those small towns where all the neighbors help eachother. it's like one big family (ironically it's the south so it kinda is...)

misti- it was good for your first time, don't worry, you still get a bitting.

mitzee- they're going to be fine, but it's a huge hit. and what is the first thing californians complain about? gass prices going up (katrina took out all the rigs)

QOA- like twister? you mean lots of bad acting and a plot so thin you could see through it? oh, and if it takes a tornado to make your day interesting you really need to move. hehehe

    ali- cheers to that

shora- um, zero that. it will take nearly a month just to get power to the area, it's gonna be a long time till you can get toppless on burbon street again.

  • mitzee- dont' tease, i was hoping for a topless canadian photo as my christmas card. after all, it's legal in toronto to be topless

  • Poor, poor New Orleans
Now there's no boobies to see
    Beat off? Sure why not!

So what is this "earth quake" you speak of?

  • ghk- 1st off, i know you well enough to know that as long as there is a child in pain you'll have plenty of things to beat off too.
2ndly, an earthquake, hmmmm... ok, you know when you're disposing of a body and you're grinding up the identifyable part in the garbage disposal and it jams causing the entire counter to shake? it's like that, but the ground.
