Reflections Of Love
As lovers, our bodies entwine and lips lock in the most intimate of embraces. In those moments, we feel the passion first hand, but we do not treasure it until it passes.
We treat those fleeting second like a sweet hard candy for the mind, locking on to the memory, savoring every bit. The memory will be unfurled for weeks, often months later. It will come into play during both times of joy to extend elation, and times of sorrow, to remember what joy felt like.
Memories are often the only tangible thoughts that we will have, souvenirs from the best moments of our lives.
On a long enough timeline, everything comes to an end. And while we may never have back the moments we’ve lost, the memories survive as reflections in our mind. While many of us find our selves imprisoned by the menagerie of moments the reflections create, we all must use these reflections to inspire us. After all, while memories may be precious and comforting, making new ones is a lot more fun.
