I Drink There For I am

so I figured it would be a good "quickie" post to round out the day.
usually when I drink I don't get the dizzy floaty feeling, in fact I don't know of too many people that do, it's more like you just don't really feel anything (but not in a quadriplegic sort of way.)
The reasons I partake in the spirits are many, but gather around and I'll tell you the tale.
well, not really a tale, more of a ramble. In any case, see, when one consumes alcoholic beverages a number of things begin to happen.
1st off, alcohol works as a social lubricant. The more you drink the easier you find it to converse and so on. The reason is that alcohol removes your inhibitions and leads to you to forget about the things like being shy. (believe it or not, I'm actually very shy, I just hide it by being out going.)
2ndly, alcohol tints the way you see the world, things that aren't normally funny seem to have a bit of a silly edge to it. What would normally be a borderline comedy can often leave you in stitches.
Finally, the more everyone else drinks the funnier I am, so drink up bitches!

you don't seem too shy. and i think you're sociable enough. do you know gals like shy guys too?
gals also like guys who are needy. gal like guys who may not be good for them. i can go on. gals are a silly lot.
anyway, this is not a 'do not drink' comment. i was just curious how so many of you can drink so much. i was thinking it could have something to do with the weather (generally having more cold months). i am sounding increasingly stupid aren't i?

misti- I know I don't seem too shy, like I said, I hide it.
the honest truth is that girls say they want shy guys, but they really don't. girls want to be pursued, they want to see a man flex and strut to win them over. Shy guys aren't very good at this (lack of confidence)
actually, weather will contribute to what kind of alcohol you drink. Summer is usually beer and "summer drinks" (margaritas!), but winter is usually warmer (Gold Goldschlager!)

Oh oh!
AND
when you don't drink but the people around you are, it just makes you realise how dumb and annoying they are when they are drunk and that can mean no fun for you.
AND
I do have some friends (guys) who drink so that they can dance to club music, if they are too sober then they don't enjoy it. A drink loooooosens your hips. ^_~
AND
when you don't drink but the people around you are, you make them feel uncomfortable and you seem like a party pooper. That can lead to less party invites for you.

shay- yes, being sober around drunks can be a bit of a downer for all involved.
i can't belive i completely forgot about dancing! i can't dance for shit unless i'm good and buzzed. it's just not that fun sober.
