The Polls Have Closed, And The Results Are In
After a great deal of contemplation, consideration, deliberation, and master... Minding, a decision has been made on the "who goes where" election. And the winner is...
Exile is going to CANADA!
(i believe this is one of the signs of the apocalypse, but there are so many...)
It looks like the festivities will be on June 10th, 11th, and 12th! Ha-zah! i have to admit, I'm as happy as a retard with lawn sprinkler.
So now we're on to phase two, the shipping and handling. We're trying to figure out how to get and exile all the way to Toronto Canada (or something) and back to Santa Ana California. Now I've never flown that far, in fact I've never flown further than Colorado, let alone to a foreign country.
So now my little blog-ophiliacs, i have a lot of things to figure out, and as usual I'm totally open for suggestions. The things I'm trying to figure out are:

So now my little blog-ophiliacs, i have a lot of things to figure out, and as usual I'm totally open for suggestions. The things I'm trying to figure out are:
- What airline should i take to get up there? Anyone have a hook-up on a good price on flights?
- Any suggestion on what to do while in the great white north? (events, patio parties, sights to see, restaurants to try, etc.)... Throwing suggestion not required.
- Do i need a passport or paperwork or anything legal to travel to Canadaland? i, i don't travel much, you see...
- Is there anything about Canadian law i need to know? (Carmine's spider senses are tingling.)
- How about some good old fashion Canadian advice? (IE: keep your stick on the ice.)
I want to throw out a special thanks to the whole clack crew and everyone else who have been all for this visit. Especially those of you who have offered to help us out! Those of you that haven't, you have to buy the first round!
This is going to be so much fun and so much games.

so, you're coming to Canada, EH? Well, tips for winter are entirely different than summer...and we're closer to the latter now.
check out Expedia.ca..cheapie, cheapie...or itravel2000, there's tons of cheap deals. American and Air Canada usually cost a little more than the others.
there's not much to do, unless you're into checking out the CN Tower...for us, it's meh, but for "foreigners" (hehehe) it's "the thing to see", course you can see it from the plane, if that's suffice.
bar scene is a mini version of New York, I DID SAY MINI. patios, etc. I Get Nothing...hopefully someone else will have better suggestions.
Used to only need driver licence and birth cert to come over..but your government now expects passports from us to go there, so not sure if it's vise versa or not, but I think that's not implemented for awhile.....so u shud be ok with that.
Don't worry about the law, my brother is a cop...it's covered.
You're Games....c ya in Canada dude. :)

well, i figured if you don't mind i'd stop on by. ya know, check out the snow people and such.
bar scene is like new york? so now all i need to do if figure out how to dress! yay
need the birth cert? is it a bad thing if there's a typo on my birth cert?
By exile, at Wednesday, May 11, 2005 9:27:00 AM
you have a typo on your birth certificate? lol...too funny. i have no idea...sorry.
Simon said (hehehe) to check out halal airlines, or something like that and i know it sounds funny, but he said he flew to l.a. with them and it was mucho cheap.

Your should not need a passport if traveling this year but having one sometimes makes life easier. see
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html for details about when and where you need a passport and when the new requirements take effect.
http://www.usps.com/passport/welcome.htm has info to get a passport if you decide that you need one. It's $97 the first time and the post office takes your picture and does all the processing for that price.
Checking expedia or travelocity is a good start but I found that you can get the same flight for the same price and sometimes even cheaper by going directly to the airline web site. Also, expedia and travelocity will only show the airlines that are paying them to advertise. So if you find out who does your route american, frontier, United, north west, air canada etc go directly to their website to order. Also, pay attention to the price differential tied to what days of the week you are traveling. rates are higher for the business traveler favorites than traveling on Sundays.

i was thinking about stretching the trip so i'd arrive friday and leave monday (if that's mitz compliant). do you think that would knock a few bucks off the price?
By exile, at Wednesday, May 11, 2005 12:56:00 PM
mitzee- so if simon says we have to do it, and if he doesn't say, we don't? curse his iron rule!
By exile, at Wednesday, May 11, 2005 12:58:00 PM
