Grrrrr...

I just found out today that the promotion I was gunning for, Head Of Purchasing, will no longer be a brass ring for my grasping. The kicker of it all is that when the last purchasing person left they trained me how to do her job, so I've been not only my job, but the job I was interviewing for as well. I learned all the in's and out's and have actually gotten quite good at it.

But evidently not good enough.

I'm now trapped as the receptionist (I can't even call my self an Administrative Assistant these days.)

I'm so disappointed.

It's days like this I feel like my career* will go no where
cool as ice

    I was trained recently in a possible advancement in my job too...but it seems like that has been pushed to the way side!

    I'm thinking they found some poor other shmo who liked to bend over and take it up the ass......figuratively speaking!

    hella- i hear ya. i jsut don't get why companies think "we'll only hire people with 5 years exp." i mean, if they lost their job after 5 years what does that say?

  • I hear ya.. that's the main reason I left my last job. I was their receptionist for 4 years and they thought they could train me as a bookkeeper and make me be a bookkeeper and a receptioist at the same time for the same pay.... yea.. so I said fuck em. hehe
