To put my finger on it.

Why does flipping someone off symbolize the phrase "fuck you?"

Are you ready to nerd it up?

"Ok, the reason for the gesture of the middle finger salute actually stems from ye olden days. If you're not familiar with it, the full middle finger salute is to cross your left arm over the crook of your right and forcefully lift your middle finger. This stance is a mimic of one raising their sword and shield to an enemy. Now seeing as though brandishing your sword to someone was a sure sign that you intended something very aggressive. Though many years and interpretations by many cultures we've inherited a single finger, as opposed to a full sword.

As for it's relation to "fuck you." well, I think Pavlov and his dogs would have something say about it. After all, that's usually what you say when you make the gesture. I suppose you could also see the finger as a fallacy.

Man does my kung-fu rock.

Waves of doom

The world is coming to an end, but unfortunately it's taking it's sweet time.

It's my realization that we are damning this insignificant planet with our presence. We have poisoned the very air and befouled the waters. Even the soil it's self has begun to reject us. And yet will still exist here. If you liken humans to ticks you can how we mirror the arachnids feeding habits. We've latched on to this abandoned dog well call earth and are suckling it dry. We feed and multiply, draining the life from the land, see, and air. Soon our toxicity will destroy the world, but unlike ticks we will not drop off before kill our host, instead we will remain. We will not leave till we are scraped off and washed clean from this world.

We're riding the train at full speed, past the caution signs, and over the cliff.

In these times of death and damnation the only solace we can take is that we are on the very cusp of the wave. We are most likely the last generation that will see blue skies before the wave crashes around us. We are at the peek of out civilization. It's all down hill from here, and it's going to be on hell of a ride.

How can I not look forward to it?
